Easy to install, easy to take on/off, but couple of problems June 26, 2008 M York (West-Central MN) I hunted all over the 'Net for a couple of days looking for a new bed cover for my '01 Ranger (not a step-side model) and finally settled on this one. I saw this cover elsewhere and Amazon easily had the lowest price. I had a cover before (Covercraft) and it lasted about 6 years in Virginia, so there were no extreme winter temps, and the pretty hot summers weren't too hard on it because I regularly used ArmorAll on it. The box the LeBra cover came in was slightly damaged on both ends, although there was no damage to any of the contents. However, there was one piece missing: one of the thumb screws that holds a side & the front or back bar together at the corners. I improvised by using a similar size nut & screw I had in my garage, which works just fine. Assembly was easy and took about 30 minutes, tops. One thing anyone with a bed cover should know - and this is likely true for almost any tonneau cover system - is that if you have a bed liner that goes up & over the top edge of the tailgate, this will compromise the seal of the tonneau rail system at the rear corners of the bed, as the rear rail of the tonneau cover will be raised slightly, subsequently raising each of the side rails at those corners. The gap on my truck was more than 1/8" high & ran about 3" from the back, forward, and got lower as you go forward. One workaround I read about that someone used was to create a shim that ran the three sides of the bed to raise the tonneau rails to the same height as the rear. I personally wasn't that concerned with the gap, so all I did was move the rear clamps that hold the side tonneau rails to the side of the bed closer to the rear. Works fine for me... LeBra's FlipLock system makes it very easy to take the cover on and off - one thing the LeBra cover has over Covercraft. Covercraft's system to secure the cover to the rails made it difficult at best to remove and replace the cover. This was one reason I went with the LeBra vice Covercraft (the other reason was price: Covercraft's tonneau is about $199). The attached velcro straps at the front of the bed hold the rolled up cover securely. Finally, starting at about 30mph the rear third of the cover sucks into the bed area a good 2" or so, which tells me that the cover isn't as tight as it should be and there's really no way to adjust that. Plus, if it would be any tighter, I'm sure that'd just make it harder to take the cover on and off. Of course, as you increase speed, the cover sucks in more. I'm now concerned how much stress this will put on the seams and such, possibly wearing them out sooner. This was not the case with the Covercraft that I had previously. Hmmm... maybe I should have gotten another Covercraft despite the price!
